Do you have any affordable Santa Fe packages for around May 21-23? We will be in Albuquerque for a few days and would like to check out Santa FE. Is there any way to get there without renting a car?
Does your rail runner go both ways, to and fro? We will be leaving from the airport from Albuquerque.
    Thanks, Barbara Cole-Kelly

    • Amyb says:

Excellent questions- thank you Barbara. My most recent blog post will help answer many of your questions regarding renting a car, rail runner and other transportation options you might find interesting. For more specifics, I would be happy to help you- just call me at 1-800-461-4599. We are offering some great internet rates for the May 21-23 time period which include complimentary breakfast buffet, downtown parking, afternoon tea, and Wifi. If you have a special interest, possibly I can whip up a package for you! Again, just give me a call and I’ll see what I can do for you.

looking to come in on the 8th of october. Do I need a car to visit the sights or can I get around with bus tours etc,

    • Amyb says:

From our location, walking anywhere in downtown Santa Fe is extremely convenient- a 5-10 or 15 minute max stroll depending upon final destination. We have an excellent location. A free shuttle circles the city during the day and drops off a four different spots if you need as well as a city bus that can get you to Museum Hill. Shuttles run from ABQ Sunport (airport) or Santa Fe Airport to our inn. If you plan to sightsee outside of Santa Fe, there are tours that can take you to outlying areas which are absolutely beautiful. There are tours that are available (walking, bus, group, etc) for historic downtown Santa Fe as well and please know we’ve been her for over 26 years and we know the city very well. We can design a custom tour for you to take free of charge! That’s what we do for our guests.

I hope this information has been helpful. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance. Please note: If you do opt to rent a vehicle, parking at our inn is complimentary with your stay (a $35/nt savings!). Hope to hear from you soon!

  • Kathy & John says:

What a great place to stay in Santa Fe. Great location. Quiet and quaint. We even lit the fire and snuggled into the cozy bed. We will definately return to Pueblo Bonito. Thanks for all of your help Amy, your detailed discriptions on where to go and what to see were great.

    • Amyb says:

You are more than welcome and we’re glad to have met you both and enjoyed having you stay with us. We look forward to your return… You’re welcome anytime!

  • elizabeth miller says:

Dear Amy: I made reservations by phone today for May 24th, for my husband and me and my cousin and her husband, from England. Can’t wait to walk them through Santa Fe! The room rate is $135 for the Nambe, where we stayed before, and the Santo Domingo. I was wondering if a discount could be allowed as all of us are senior citizens and this is a special trip for the 4 of us, especially our visitors from England. I know that the rate goes up on Thurs. as policy, but would appreciate any discount that could be allowed. Looking forward to staying in your lovely inn and enjoying both the happy hour (you still have that?) and the breakfast. Regards, Elizabeth Miller

    • Amyb says:

Hi Elizabeth. Great to hear from you. Glad to hear you will be returning to us with your friends! To answer your question on a discount for your stay. The $135 rate is all inclusive (includes breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, downtown parking, wifi and ability to walk anywhere within 10 minutes). This May Special rate is an already discounted rate (rack rate is $150). The one night you have booked with us for two rooms is the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend- a popular time. I would hope you will agree this is a very good rate for the package (all the freebies listed above). Senior discounts are available and are rated on our rack rates ($150). This would provide a 10% discount off $150, thus creating a nightly rate of $135 plus tax- the same rate you are currently guaranteed! We anticipate that you will have a wonderful and memorable time with your friends in Santa Fe and at Pueblo Bonito b&b. See you soon! Amy

  • Robert says:

Amy, I am searching for accommodations for senior travelers from TN, TX and VT who are meeting up in Santa Fe, Sept 6-9. I’m looking for something warm and friendly where we can relax and enjoy being together and also see the city. Can you put together a package for us that keeps the cost down? Also, what’s on the buffet? More than 15 years ago we were in Santa Fe for a meeting. There was a flea market out of town not far from the Opera that I have never forgotten. Is it still operating? Is it still unique? Thanks. Robert

    • Amyb says:

      Robert,
Thanks for the inquiry. We’d love to have you all with us at Pueblo Bonito in September. It’s a lovely time of year I think you’d very much enjoy. We do have availability for the dates specified currently. Our breakfast buffet consists of a large variety of items from freshly cut fruits, pastries, cream cheese or raspberry coffee cake, baked breads like walnut banana or vanilla cream cranberry, toaster items like waffles, french toast, bagels, etc, raspberry preserves and smears (salmon, chive, veggie, etc), cereals (granola, oatmeal, raisin bran, etc), boiled eggs, yogurts, coffee, teas and juice! We also offer on request gluten free items. The Tesuque Flea Market is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in Septemeber. It does have some unique items, however it’s not as plentiful with vendors as it once was. Years back the Tesuque Pueblo closed it down and it hasn’t recovered since. I hope I’ve been some help and look forward to contacting your further regarding an accomodation package for you and your traveling partners. Amy

My hubby and I are planning to be in Sante Fe area in the between Dec 15 and the 21st. Are there any special rates at that time?military discount? etc Also what are some of the Christmas events in Sante Fe/Taos area during that time frame. Thank you Mrs Grainger

    • Amyb says:

      Hi Edith,
Just put out our December specials! Check ‘em out- I think you’ll be happy with our $99-$115 + tax special. Great time of year to visit Santa Fe (December) as it’s much quieter than our “high” season but still so much to see and experience. Hope to hear back from you. Amy

  • Caitlin says:

    Hi there
We are looking for accommodations from 26 Dec-30 Dec. We will have a party of 5 ladies. 3 adult two Young Adult. What room combinations would you suggest?

    Thanks!

    • Amyb says:

      Hi Caitlin,
A party of 5 ladies… well, we have suites- each has one bed (queen or king) in the bedroom, queen futon in the livingroom along with a kiva fireplace, private bath and a small kitchen. If all 2 ladies feel comfortable sleeping in the same bed, I’d suggest one king suite and one queen suite. This combo will allow maximum room for all 5 ladies and two full baths! We can get you into two suites that are next to each other as well so it’s easy to go back and forth between suites. Let me know what you think!

  • Meleesa says:

My first cousin and I spend a week together each year like we did when we were small. We are now in the highlight of our lives – the 50′s! We are seriously considering joining you guys during the last week of March 2013. Anything exciting going on the week before Easter? Thanks.

    • Amyb says:

Hi Meleesa. What a great reason to come for a visit! Skiing is abundant during that time as are small markets, performances at the Lensic and other Museum and Gallery showings. That’s a great time of year for a visit as everything is open, busy and getting ready for the warm summer months!

  • mel says:

Amy, I am interested in learning more about the train. I have read through your letters, and enjoy reading every letter/email. My husband and I are one of 2 couples heading for Santa Fe this summer, and I am currently reviewing the various lodging venues in Santa Fe. We will fly into Albuquerque, spend a couple of nights in here, and then travel to Santa Fe and its’s surrounding towns/cities for 4-5 days/nights. My questions is; are there car rental companies located at the train stations, such as they are at the airports? I ask this because, I would like to travel by train from ABQ to Santa Fe, rent a car in Santa Fe for traveling to Taos and other towns. Then, return the car to the rental car dealer and return to ABQ via train.

    • Amyb says:

      Hi Mel,

Let me see if I may answer your questions: There are no car rentals companies located at the Lamy Amtrak station. Instead there is a shuttle which would bring you from Lamy to our inn. This is something you would need to arrange with Amtrak as they offer this service. Once you’re at our inn, you can rent a car in Santa Fe. I recommend Budget or Enterprise as they should pick you up from our inn and take you to thier offices for auto pick up. Cost wise, you’re better picking the car up in Albuquerque as rental companies charge large penalties for dropping off at other locations that the one your rented from. I sugget you call the car rental companies to get thier rates, availablity and locations for pick up, etc. Hope this information is helpful! Amtrak is wonderful way to travel- enjoy! Hi..I was looking at an Amazon Local deal..we live in Colorado Springs and love Santa Fe…I noticed that the Amazon deal is for a one night stay only..is that correct? We would like to come for a long weekend in April, like Thurs -Sun. So, could we get the Amazon Local deal and then the website of 139.00 or could I buy the deal for 3nights? I hope I am not confusing you.
    Thanx, Tobi and Bob

    • Amy Behm says:

      Hi Tobi,
The vouchers are good for one night and you can use a total of two for a stay. Of course you can take advantage of our internet specials for nights that are not covered by the vouchers. Remember our stay packages always include: breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, parking and Wifi, so it’s hard to find a better value in downtown Santa Fe than Pueblo Bonito b&b! Give us a call, we’d love to have you with us!

  • Amy Behm says:

Thank you Sherrill for the compliment. I write our blogs. I try to find interesting information that our audience will enjoy. Again thank you for your compliment and feedback. Amy
