Tewa – Pueblo Bonito Inn Suite #19
Far quainter with true historic charm than a Santa Fe hotel! This delightful king suite has saltillo tiled floors throughout; white washed vigas; one king bed in the bedroom; a queen futon and corner kiva fireplace and flat screen cable TV in the sitting room; a wooden writing table with chair; beautiful navy Mexican tile in the full kitchen and bath. Two large closets and a phone are also included in this Santa Fe lodging. Fast WiFi internet access and phone.
Background – Tewa People
The Tewa “moccasin” people lived in more than 80 villages near today’s San Juan Pueblo. Each of these villages was divided into two sections- a winter section and a summer section. Each section had its own leader. The winter leader ruled from fall equinox to the spring equinox. The summer leader ruled from spring until fall. Because summer was more important to the livelihood of the village, the summer leader had more influence.
Pueblo Bonito Bed and Breakfast Inn, 138 W. Manhattan, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Located in Santa Fe’s historic downtown district.
“Wonderful way to ‘Feel Santa Fe.’ ”
Really well taken care of with thoughtful amenities throughout our room. Loved the Saltillo tile floors and beautiful Mexican tiled kitchen – very “Santa Fe.” Thoughtful and considerate hosts. Well run and professional yet very personal. ~ Abby M
