It’s important to note: a WORST case scenario provides ALL businesses to be open (to some extent with exception of Close-contact recreational facilities- defined below)! During 2020 travel has NOT been “normal”, but has proven necessary for many reasons. New Mexico travelers found all “open businesses” (regardless of restrictions) to satisfactorily provide their services.

Red level: (Worst Case Scenario): Everything is open on limited level:
Essential retail spaces (grocery stores, etc): 25% max/75 customers.
Restaurants: No indoor dining. 25% max outdoor; alcohol sales close 9 p.m.
Close-contact businesses (Spa, gyms, salons, etc): 25% max/ 10 customers at one time.
Outdoor recreational facilities (ski basin, NM parks, Botanical gardens, zoos, golf course, etc): 25% max (unless limited by NM COVID-Safe )
Close-contact recreational facilities (theatres, museums, casinos, bars, performance venues, etc): Remain closed
Houses of worship: 25% max.
Places of lodging: 40% max occupancy. 5 guests max for vacation rentals.
Mass gatherings limit: 5 persons, 10 vehicles
Yellow level:

Essential retail spaces (grocery stores, etc): 25% max/125 customers.
Restaurants: 25% max indoor dining; 75% max outdoor; close by 10 p.m.
Close-contact businesses (Spa, gyms,): 25% max/ 20 customers at one time.
Outdoor recreational facilities (ski basin, NM parks, etc): 25% max (unless required per NM state’s COVID-Safe Practices)
